4thpass Names Fran Dougherty Chief Operating Officer SEATTLE, Washington, May 5 /PRNewswire/ --- Software Company to Advance Mobile Data Services Technology Fran Dougherty, a 20-year veteran of the high technology industry, was recently named Chief Operating Officer for 4thpass, a subsidiary of Motorola (NYSE: MOT). Dougherty will help grow the 4thpass operator customer base, drive sales and software development and oversee day-to-day operations at the Seattle-based wireless software company. During his 20 years in the high technology industry, Dougherty served in key roles at Microsoft and Sun Microsystems. While at Sun, Dougherty was Director of Technical Operations for Sun Software and served as Director of Technology Sales for EMEA with a focus on mobile telecommunications, interactive TV, automotive and Smart Card markets. Dougherty was also the CEO of TimeSys Corp., a provider of Linux-based software solutions.
