Sharp Rise in Commercial Deployments of Crossbow's Wireless Sensor Networks Prompts VP of Sales Hire
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- March 30, 2004 -- Crossbow Technology, Inc., a leading wireless mesh networking company at the forefront of providing anywhere anytime wireless networking solutions today announced it has appointed Samuel M. Godwin as Vice President of Sales. Godwin, a twenty-year sales veteran comes to Crossbow from Doublewide Software, a provider of embedded super system virtualization software backed by U.S. Venture Partners and Walden International, where he was VP of Sales. Previously, he was Director of Sales for Wind River Systems, the worldwide leader in embedded platforms used in multiple markets including aerospace and defense, automotive, digital consumer, industrial and network infrastructure. Godwin will report to Crossbow CEO, Mike Horton. He will be working alongside long time company veteran and former dual head of sales and business development, John Crawford who holds the title of VP of Business Development, adding muscle to the company's escalating geographic, application, and sector expansion.

Previously, Godwin worked in various sales capacities at Spectron Microsystems, Cadre Technologies and Tektronix, beginning his career as a Test Engineer at Optimem. Godwin received his BS in Computer Science from North Georgia College & State University.
