DRS Technologies Names Thomas F. Daley Vice President, Corporate Counsel
PARSIPPANY, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- June 25, 2004 -- DRS Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: DRS) announced today that Thomas F. Daley has joined the company's corporate office as vice president, corporate counsel. Mr. Daley reports to Nina L. Dunn, the company's executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.
As corporate counsel, Mr. Daley will provide general corporate legal counsel, intellectual property analysis, and negotiation and analysis of contracts and strategic alliances.

Mr. Daley has more than thirty years of experience across a broad spectrum of industries. Prior to joining DRS, he was president and chief executive officer of Clearwire Equipment Company, LLC, where he led the preparation of the asset purchase agreement to purchase this company from its parent, Clearwire Holdings, Inc.
Earlier, he was vice president, general counsel and secretary of Clearwire Technologies, Inc., formed in a 1998 spin-off of Sierra Technologies, Inc. Sierra Technologies was owned until 1999 by Sierra Research, Inc., a unit of Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc. (IDT), which was acquired by DRS on November 3, 2003.
Mr. Daley was part owner, vice president, general counsel, secretary and general manager for both Sierra Networks, Inc. and Sierra Technologies, Inc. He participated in the sale to IDT of the Sierra Research division, now named the DRS EW & Network Systems unit, and the Zeta division, now named the DRS Signal Solutions (West) unit.
Mr. Daley also held various positions at The LTV Corporation's AM General Division and Sierra Research Division, including general counsel and patent attorney. Before that, he was a patent attorney with The Proctor & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG), managing intellectual property, including patents, trademarks and trade secrets.
Mr. Daley graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, School of Law and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is a registered patent attorney and is licensed to practice law in Texas, Ohio and Tennessee.
