Designer Appliances Inc. -Torbay Holdings Inc. Subsidiary- Launches ``The Clickless Web'' from the Microsoft Assistive Technology Booth at the NECC Exhibition in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS --(Business Wire)-- June 23, 2004 -- Torbay Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: TRBY.OB) announced this afternoon that Designer Appliances Inc. (DAI), Torbay Holdings Inc.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, would today launch "The Clickless Web" at the exhibition associated with the National Educational Computing Conference in New Orleans. DAI has also committed to providing it at no cost to all Schools and Educational Facilities in the US who request to use it.
"The Clickless Web" uses NibBrowser(TM), a new application designed at this time for Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6.0 and extends the scope of DAI's computer resident Nib & McNib "click-less" software into a non PC resident "Tools On Demand" application.
NibBrowser(TM) allows users to surf the net without having to click their mouse buttons. Users simply pause over a link to activate the desired function. It is a Universally Assistive Technology in that it works the same for persons with or without disability.
The NibBrowser(TM) service will be offered initially via two websites hosted by DAI: www.theclicklessweb.com will be investigated as a medium where those who wish to can subscribe to the service and use it on all sites that they visit.
A second website, www.theassistiveweb.com, is planned to be available to other corporations who communicate with their customers via the web, such as banks and Internet Service Providers. This will allow them to enable their customers to browse and click within their website browser without subscription to "The Clickless Web."
In regards to providing it free to all Educational Facilities: "The Clickless Web" will work with any kind of pointing input device and so will enable children within the educational system that have hand disabilities to use the device that is best suited to their needs and not have to physically click it. For all other children "The Clickless Web" will allow them to avoid the physical demands of clicking while on the Internet that, over their life times, may require them to perform hundreds of thousands or even millions of mouse clicks.

'Designing out' finger, hand and wrist muscle activity means that you 'design in' accessibility.
"March 2004 Internet usage figures suggest the average monthly 'On-Net' time per user was 21 hours and so by our estimates Internet users worldwide click 1.3 trillion times per month, looked at another way, 500,000 mouse clicks are being made on the Internet every second of every day.
"By delivering 'The Clickless Web' to the educational system we hope to promote awareness of the benefits and of our company and its goal to remove the need to both grip and click computer mice. Educating the next generation so as to have them mouse in a Functional Neutral posture is as important as making it accessible to those who can benefit from it today."
DAI anticipates that distribution of "The Clickless Web" to schools and colleges can commence within 3 months. A process of delivery will be examined that might accelerate its availability by working with other organizations or educational computer suppliers who might already have a delivery system that could be utilized.
DAI is attending the NECC exhibition as a member of the Microsoft Assistive Technology vendor program, designed to support and help promote companies developing accessible technology on Microsoft Products.

At the exhibition DAI is also displaying the Quill-Aerobic mouse, a computer mouse that requires no grip and with it the "Virtually Hands Free Mousing System" that includes Nib click-less software, which together provide for grip-less and click-less mouse input. The Virtually Hands Free(TM) mousing system recently became the first mousing product to receive an "Ease of Use" commendation by the Arthritis Foundation following an independent review.
