Apogee Enterprises Elects New Board Member

MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- June 22, 2004 -- Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq:APOG) today at its annual meeting of shareholders elected Jerome L. Davis, 49, to its Board of Directors. Davis is vice president, service excellence at EDS, the world's largest independent business and technology solutions company with 2003 revenues of $20.5 billion, headquartered in Plano, TX. He is responsible for global client executive performance across all EDS operating units.

Davis joined EDS in 2001 as president, business process management-Americas and was named chief client executive officer in 2002, before moving to his current position in 2003. Prior to EDS, he was president and executive officer for Maytag Commercial Solutions, having started with Maytag Corporation in 1998 as senior vice president, sales for Maytag Appliances. Davis also held sales and general management leadership positions with Frito-Lay, Inc., a division of PepsiCo, from 1992 to 1998. He started his career with The Proctor & Gamble Company and held various management and sales positions during his 15 years with the company.
