Worldwide Telco Adds Phone and Web Voicemail from IPeria To Its wIPphone Free, Unlimited Worldwide Phone Service

BURLINGTON, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- June 22, 2004 -- IPeria(R) Inc. (www.iperia.com), a global leader of network communications software, today announced that Worldwide Telco has selected IPeria's ActivEdge software to provide its Voice over IP wIPphone service subscribers worldwide with enhanced services including telephone and web-based voicemail.

Worldwide Telco, a New York based telecom company, recently launched its Worldwide IP Phone ("wIPphone") Internet telephony service for both residential and small business customers.

wIPphone features free unlimited calls to any other wIPphone without any monthly fees, extremely low-cost wIPphone-to-phone domestic and international rates, free phone-to-wIPphone calls, access to the wIPphone network from any regular phone, and web-based management. The wIPphone product line includes a wide range of hardware and software phone solutions, including a softphone that runs on a PC, a complete VoIP telephone unit, and several integrated access devices that allow the user to use his own phone unit. To test the quality of their service, users can download the award-winning X-PRO SoftPhone for free from www.wipphone.com and receive 30 free minutes to more than 45 countries.

"Worldwide Telco selected IPeria's ActivEdge product because it provides us with a solid platform for our telephone and Internet voicemail," said Eyal Yaari, vice president, Worldwide Telco. "It also will provide the flexibility to develop future services including unified messaging and will support our extremely rapid subscriber growth."

IPeria's carrier-class ActivEdge software provides network service providers with a scalable and high performance solution for enhanced subscriber services such as web and telephone-based voicemail, auto attendant and unified messaging. IPeria's ActivEdge Voicemail software provides both the standard voicemail features for the user (subscriber) and the person calling into the system as well as many advanced capabilities.

Advanced features with ActivEdge include Visual Voicemail, which allows subscribers to access voicemail messages with a computer and Internet connection. From the browser interface, subscribers can listen to voicemails in any sequence, forward, file and delete them as easily as an e-mail message, customize their mailbox, and modify notification options. ActivEdge Voicemail also allows callers to transfer to a subscriber's alternative number, such as mobile or office phone, when they reach the subscriber's greeting and do not want to leave a message.

"IPeria's ActivEdge software is a unique solution for next generation VoIP service providers like Worldwide Telco," said Rob Scott, president and CEO, IPeria. "ActivEdge is field-proven software that runs on commodity servers running the Sun Solaris or Linux operating system and interoperates with a wide range of media servers and softswitches. This enables service providers to choose best-of-breed components for their network and leverage master purchase agreements that may already be in place with hardware suppliers."
