IBM Signs Global Agreement: Parasoft WebKing to Ensure Web Quality, Reliability and Accessibility Globally

MONROVIA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- June 22, 2004 -- Automated Error Prevention Products for Web Applications Enable IBM to Deliver Reliable Applications While Saving Money and Reducing Turnaround Time

Parasoft, a leading provider of Automated Error Prevention (AEP) software solutions, announced that IBM uses WebKing to help them prevent software errors.

Using WebKing since early 2004, IBM continues to use WebKing to perform Section 508 accessibility verification for ibm.com, IBM internal portals, and application development projects built by IBM Global Services (IGS), the company's consulting division. WebKing helps IBM keep their Web sites consistent worldwide. In today's global market, with Web sites being updated and maintained in many different regions and in many different languages, Parasoft provides one solution that helps maintain a consistent corporate image.

WebKing is a comprehensive Automated Error Prevention tool for Web development. It automates the most critical Web verification practices: static analysis, functional testing, and load testing. WebKing's automated technologies help developers and testers verify application functionality, accessibility and performance without scripting, plus its flexibility allows users to automatically verify even the most specialized requirements. Wizards guide users through required steps, and unique technologies--paired with preconfigured test scenarios--allow users to begin complex tests with no set-up. By making key testing practices as fast and easy as possible, WebKing ensures that thorough testing does not drain available resources or delay the intended release.

"We are very excited about our relationship with IBM. This is a strong endorsement of Parasoft products," said Mark Johnson, Parasoft Senior Vice President of Sales. "We have automated Web guideline enforcement which will save IBM money and reduce turn-around time. We estimate that there are over 3,000 IBM developers worldwide now using Parasoft error-prevention products."
