Kintera's Prospect Information Network -- P!N -- Releases ProfileBuilder 5.0

SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)-- June 15, 2004 -- Innovative Software for Nonprofit Sector Combines Enhancements in Data Mining and Prospect Identification Technologies Pioneered by P!N, a Service of Kintera

Prospect Information Network (P!N) announces the release of the newest version of its industry-leading prospect screening product, ProfileBuilder 5.0, on July 1, 2004. The innovative software combines significant enhancements of P!N's data mining and prospect identification technologies. P!N is a service of Kintera(r) Inc. (NASDAQ:KNTA), a leading provider of "software as a service" to nonprofit organizations.

ProfileBuilder 5.0 offers the nonprofit community a built-in gift capacity and gift level calculator that helps organizations determine the giving ability of donors and prospects, and can be customized to match an organization's gift chart. The software also supports P!N's new Prospect Affinity Report(tm) service, which reveals correlations between prospect data and prospect giving, allowing nonprofits to combine a prospect's capability with his or her affinity to them. This new service was developed in conjunction with Peter Wylie, author of "Data Mining for Fundraisers."

"We are pleased to announce the newest version of our industry-leading prospect screening product, ProfileBuilder 5.0., which gives nonprofit organizations the ability to find, profile, monitor, dynamically rank and map their donors and prospects," said David Lawson, president of Prospect Information Network. "Together with the integration with Kintera Sphere, the new features in ProfileBuilder 5.0 greatly enhance the scope of our application as well as make it easier to move data between P!N software and other fundraising systems."

ProfileBuilder 5.0 is fully integrated with P!N Central(tm), an on-demand screening service, and a variety of other enhancements:

-- P!N Central(tm) - Nonprofits can access the vast data resources from the leading provider of prospect information whenever needed. Organizations can also update previously matched records to ensure profiles contain the very latest information, saving hours of valuable staff time.

-- Multiple address support - Allows users to search for addresses by address type, plot them with P!N's Integrated Mapping System, match addresses against third-party data sources and tag prospect real estate addresses as home addresses.

-- Expanded custom fields - The number of custom data fields that can be stored in the P!N database has expanded from 8 to 35, and these custom fields can be used in P!N's scoring and ranking system.

-- Enhanced matching - Combined with P!N's new proprietary recursive match technology, users can expect up to a 20% improvement in match rates with the same industry-leading accuracy.

-- Custom user URLs - Nonprofits can save the addresses of their favorite research sites and make them available to other ProfileBuilder users.

Added Harry Gruber, CEO of Kintera: "ProfileBuilder 5.0 marks the first software released by P!N since the company was acquired by Kintera in late February. P!N's new release of prospect screening software, together with the proven Kintera Sphere(tm) technology platform, enables fundraisers to more easily and cost-effectively identify prospects with giving capacity. As P!N continues its unification with Kintera Sphere, the nonprofit sector can expect some exciting product announcements in the coming months to help with donor acquisition, prospect screening and major gifts."
