CTE President and CEO to Address Upcoming CIBC World Markets and Wachovia Securities Conferences

DALLAS, Pa. --(Business Wire)-- June 3, 2004 -- Michael J. Mahoney, president and chief executive officer of Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Inc. ("CTE") (Nasdaq: CTCO), will address the Annual CIBC World Markets Communications & Technology Food Chain Conference in New York, NY, on Monday, June 7, 2004, at 3:15 p.m. (EDT), and the 2004 Wachovia Securities Nantucket Equity Conference in Nantucket, MA, on Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. (EDT).
