HomelandDefenseStocks.com - RMSG News - Blackberry Devices Now Supported by ROAMING MESSENGER
ROAMING MESSENGER(TM) (OTCBB: RMSG) announced that it has entered beta testing of its messaging service on selected Blackberry(TM) handheld devices.
Blackberry, a trademark of Research-In-Motion, Inc. (RIM), known for their wireless handheld PDA, has recently celebrated its one millionth customer. While making key inroads into the consumer marketplace, Blackberry's main clientele is the enterprise and the government sectors.
"Blackberry device support represents an important market for our company, and is in complete synch with our 'device agnostic' strategy," stated Jon Lei, CEO of ROAMING MESSENGER, INC.
The Blackberry devices upon which ROAMING MESSENGER operates are Blackberry devices with integrated cellular phone service. Models supporting GSM/GPRS or iDEN include the monochrome 6710 and the color 7210, 7230, 7280, 7510, 7730, and 7780. The handheld models are delivered on networks from T-Mobile, Cingular, AT&T, and Nextel, among others.
ROAMING MESSENGER'S product line helps to blur the boundaries between carriers and devices. The addition of the Blackberry handheld to the already existing support for Microsoft Smartphone (Motorola MPx200, Samsung i600h, etc.), and Pocket PC Phone Edition (XDA, Hitachi, Thera, etc.), continues to deliver on the promise of device independence for ROAMING MESSENGER customers.
"We're extremely pleased to offer this native support for RIM's Blackberry device family. The open Java platform of the Blackberry creates the potential for the delivery of tightly integrated high-value applications in the enterprise," stated Brian Fox, ROAMING MESSENGER'S CTO. "Our team is proud to seamlessly enhance the messaging capabilities of this widely adopted and rock-solid platform."
