CRMfusion Inc. Introduces DemandTools for salesforce.com; Sforce Certified Solution Provides Data Cleansing and Maintenance for salesforce.com

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- July 21, 2004 -- CRMfusion Inc. and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market share leader of enterprise application services that allow organizations to easily share customer information on demand, today announced the availability of DemandTools. Tightly integrated with salesforce.com via the sforce on demand platform, and immediately available to salesforce.com customers, DemandTools by CRMfusion includes extensive data cleansing tools permitting the deduplication, mass update and insert, and mass delete of accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities plus most other salesforce.com objects. Through the powerful sforce on demand platform, DemandTools is able to work directly on customer's CRM data from a local personal computer.

DemandTools was announced today in New York at a global event celebrating salesforce.com's latest Summer '04 release, which delivers 100 new features instantly and seamlessly to all 10,700 salesforce.com customers and 161,000 subscribers worldwide.

Since sforce was launched just over one year ago, salesforce.com has created an ecosystem that is significantly changing the way on-demand applications are built, just as salesforce.com changed how they are delivered. Today, CRMfusion joins an sforce community of 3,000 developers, 750 enterprises and more than 100 ISVs who are using sforce to customize, integrate and extend salesforce.com to create custom CRM solutions.

"The biggest draw for us for DemandTools is the simple streamlined interface and high level of user friendliness," said Janie Wang, business analyst with Forex Capital Markets. "This product was built with the understanding that people have unique and important data cleansing needs; but they don't want to spend too much time and resources cleansing their data. With DemandTools, we have been able cleanse over 300,000 records to improve the accuracy of our reporting and the efforts of our sales staff."

Sforce partners expand customer choice by creating a wide range of new customer-centric solutions, including mobile applications, hosted vertical applications, voice automation, and specific device support. All solutions are built using open standards on the sforce on demand platform, one of the most widely used and broadly supported enterprise Web services.

The DemandTools provide the salesforce.com administrator with an extensive toolkit for maintaining the reliability and accuracy of their salesforce.com data. The deduplication tools alone can save the customer thousands of dollars in mailing and touch costs each year.

"The sforce on demand platform is so robust and well supported that developing new tools can be done in days, not months," said Glenn Wilson, president of CRMfusion. "The greatest frustration with other online CRM applications is that the data is locked away and only accessible one record at a time. With sforce it is as if all of your companies data was residing on your local computer."

The sforce on demand platform allows solution developers to customize, integrate, and extend salesforce.com to create sophisticated custom CRM solutions. In contrast to traditional packaged software, sforce allows developers to use the tools they already know and love from IBM (NYSE:IBM), BEA (Nasdaq:BEAS), Borland (Nasdaq:BORL), and Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT) to build CRM integrations and applications with record speed and success. Leveraging standards and technologies from the Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), sforce continues to demonstrate how the on demand platforms are a central part of the new enterprise IT strategies. Free access to the sforce community, as well as more information on the sforce Developer Program, is available at http://sforce.com.
