WatchIT Programs Show Companies How to Limit E-Mail Risks, Cut Losses Due to Spam
WatchIT the leading provider of Education on Demand has released two interactive programs that show business and technology executives how to limit the risks of unchecked e-mail use and cut the costs of dealing with spam.
The first program, Creating Effective E-Mail Policies, released this month, features Michelle Drolet, Founder and CEO of Conqwest, an IT security company. She explains how not having a written e-mail usage policy can increase the risk of lawsuits, compromise the security of sensitive information, and even reduce employee productivity. Drolet discusses how an effective e-mail policy can protect your organization from these threats, while maintaining the companys good reputation and encouraging a harmonious work environment. Drolet examines the benefits of a written e-mail policy and identifies the key elements that must be included in such a policy. She describes best-of-breed technology solutions that enable and complement an organizations e-mail policy and best practices. In addition, Drolet explains how to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the e-mail policy. View the program http://www.watchit.com/PGDSCR.cfm?c_acronym=EMPO
The second program, Spam, Worms, and Viruses: Managing Malicious E-Mail, also released this month, describes how unsolicited commercial e-mail spam and e-mail-borne security risks, such as viruses and worms, not only pose special challenges for enterprises, but also add significant costs. Ray Everett-Church, Co-Author of Fighting Spam for Dummies, explains how spam affects your organization and discusses tools and techniques you can use to reduce this threat. Everett-Church provides a brief history of spam, explains how spammers operate, and shows what spam costs your company. He points out why spam is so difficult to stop, and describes how you can use current anti-spam solutions to rid your organization of spam and its related costs. In an interview, Karl Barth, E-mail Administrator at Drexel University in Philadelphia describes how it employed new solutions to combat the crippling volumes of unsolicited e-mail it was receiving.
