Savi Technology Names Key Executives to Bolster Information Technology Infrastructure and Manufacturing Operations

SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- July 13, 2004 -- New VPs Reinforce Savi's Network Capabilities to Meet Growing Demand for RFID-Enabled Supply Chain Management and Security Solutions

Savi Technology, the leading provider of Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) network solutions for real-time supply chain visibility, asset management and security, today announced two key executive appointments that will help the company advance its product development strategy and corporate goals.

Paula Camporaso, a highly accomplished information technology executive, most recently with Spectra-Physics, was named to the position of vice president of Information Technology. Steve Burman, a veteran of manufacturing operations, engineering, and supplier management who was formerly at Sun Microsystems, was appointed vice president of Manufacturing Operations and Quality Assurance. Both report directly to Jerry Beckwith, Savi's chief operating officer.

Camporaso will leverage her extensive experience to ensure that the company's information infrastructure, systems, and service capabilities are aligned with corporate business objectives and overall strategy. She will be heading up the IT team responsible for execution of applications and technology to improve business performance within Savi. Burman will play a key role in product development, manufacturing, and delivery, ensuring new products perform as designed and meet the highest quality standard prior to release. His appointment ensures the continued delivery of quality Savi products to customers, on time and at a competitive value.

Biography: Paula Camporaso

Paula Camporaso has over 20 years experience partnering with high technology organizations, aligning IT infrastructure and service delivery capabilities to meet key business goals and strategies. She has held various executive management and consulting roles in information technology for such companies as Alien Technology, Spectra-Physics, Legato Systems and Globalware Solutions. Most recently, Camporaso was vice president of IT at Spectra-Physics where she successfully created and adopted an enterprise wide IT strategy, restructuring seven-business -unit based IT organizations into a single, centralized service infrastructure. Her range of experience centers on strategic information technology planning, network architecture and security, and solution deployment, as well as creating customer-centric IT services cultures. Camporaso holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University and has continued her education at Stanford University with emphasis on Business Enterprise Management.

Biography: Steve Burman

Steve Burman comes to Savi with over 16 years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, and supplier management. Prior to joining Savi, Burman spent the past eight years at Sun Microsystems helping evolve the company support model from an internal manufacturing to an external manufacturing model. He also held numerous strategic and tactical positions at Ford Motor Company, where he gained extensive experience in high volume manufacturing and product design. In addition to designing and launching several new products, Burman played key roles in bringing up new multi-billion dollar factories, turning around troubled factories, and closing inefficient factories, in multiple countries throughout the world. He holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Temple University and a Masters degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Stanford University. Burman also spent six years in the U.S. Army in the field of electronic communications.
