Endeca Selected by IBM to Enhance Online Shopping Experience

IBM has chosen Endeca to provide Guided Navigation and dynamic merchandising for the company's online store at www.ibm.com.

IBM selected Endeca InFront(R) to help customers quickly and easily navigate IBM's extensive computer hardware and products catalog -- including notebook and desktop computers, workstations and Intel-based servers -- to find exactly the right product for their needs.

With Endeca's unique solution, each user can shop in a highly personalized and intuitive way, using product attributes such as price, operating system, model, weight, and special features to hone results and simplify the selection process. Endeca InFront will also provide dynamic merchandising so IBM can create customized promotions that are specific to each customer's shopping session.

Endeca InFront will help IBM cultivate deeper loyalty and satisfaction with their customers through simplified navigation and purchase success, while at the same time allowing them to customize and refine their marketing and selling processes.

In addition to enhancing the customer experience, IBM is benefiting from a customizable and easily managed platform that was rapidly implemented. Endeca InFront, with its integrated advanced search, Guided Navigation and dynamic merchandising capabilities, is proven to radically boost the quality of shopper satisfaction through a superior, differentiated user experience.

"Signing a customer of the caliber and prestige of IBM is testament to the proven track record of Endeca Search and Guided Navigation and the ability of Endeca InFront to propel the online catalog to new levels of expectation for finding and discovering products online," said Jim Baum, president and COO of Endeca. "The deployment of Guided Navigation in IBM's online store provides an excellent showcase for the power of our platform and its ability to deliver real results for both the company and customer."
