SMC EliteConnect High-Gain Antennas and Accessories Help Enterprise Wireless Networks Go the Distance

SMC Networks (www.smc.com), leading provider of networking solutions for the Enterprise, the SMB and all the way home, today announced two new products to extend and protect 2.4GHz wireless networks, the SMCANT-DIFP11 Wireless High-Gain 11dBi Flat Panel Antenna and the SMCANT-LP Lightning Protector. Both products will be available in March, and each carries an MSRP of $69.99.

The new SMC Wireless High Gain 11dBi Flat Panel Antenna is a low-profile, wide dispersion directional antenna that adds range, without adding bulk, blending easily into environments where aesthetics are important. Replacing the antenna on any 802.11b or 802.11b/g wireless router or access point with a detachable antenna, it extends point-to-point range to as much as nine miles under optimal conditions.

The SMCANT-LP Lightning Protector provides surge protection to safeguard expensive electronic equipment. Its N-Female to N-Male bulkhead connectors make it easy to integrate into an existing wireless network without adding cable, and it can be used with or without amplification. Its low insertion loss and superior RF performance make the SMCANT-LP ideal for 802.11b/g wireless LAN.

Priced at $69.99, both the SMCANT-DIFP11 and the SMCANT-LP provide cost-effective solutions for strengthening 802.11b and 802.11b/g wireless networks.
