Social Security Administration Selects GeoLearning For Hosted E-Learning & LMS Solution

GeoLearning, Inc., the leading provider of hosted learning management systems and e-learning content, announced today that the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) has selected the GeoMaestro(tm) learning management system and e-learning delivery platform to manage agency-wide e-training. The SSA's e-learning program is part of the federal government's Gov Online Learning Center e-Training Initiative.

The deployment of GeoLearning's hosted LMS solution will provide SSA's 65,000 employees with unprecedented access to career development resources, including
e-learning courses on business skills, information security, desktop computer applications and IT certifications.

The GeoMaestro LMS offers robust registration, tracking and reporting functionality essential for the efficient delivery and strategic management of learning, development and knowledge acquisition necessary to increase productivity and speed to performance. The GeoLearning LMS is also compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which requires all federal agencies to implement information technology accessible to persons with disabilities.

The Gov Online Learning Center (GOLC), which is also powered by GeoLearning's GeoMaestro(tm) hosted platform, provides one-stop access to e-training services for more than 1.8 million people employed by the federal government, making it the e-learning industry's largest implementation. The e-Training Initiative and GOLC is an effort by the Office of Management & Budget and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management to simplify and unify e-training services across federal government and is one of 24 e-government initiatives that support President George W. Bush's Management Agenda.
