Learn how OSDL works with the development community for enterprise Linux success, January 31 - February 2, 2005

The Open Source Development Labs (OSDL), a global consortium dedicated to accelerating the adoption of Linux in the enterprise, today announced that it will host a forum at the Enterprise Linux Summit for attendees to meet kernel development experts and other OSDL technical personnel. The "OSDL Meet the Experts" forum will be located on the exhibition floor during the conference and will be staffed by OSDL Linux kernel developers, test engineers and other technical experts. This forum will help Enterprise Linux Summit attendees understand how OSDL works with the open source software & Linux development communities to improve Linux and accelerate its adoption.

The "Experts" forum will allow Summit attendees and OSDL engineers to share best practices about kernel patch submission and other aspects of the Linux kernel process. It also provides a means for Summit attendees to learn more about OSDL's extensive Linux testing program. Finally, OSDL staffers will be on hand to provide information about the newest developments within OSDL's Carrier Grade Linux, Data Center Linux and Desktop Linux working groups.

"OSDL is a leader in Linux testing and a significant contributor to the kernel community," said Dan Frye, VP IBM Linux Technology Center. "This forum should be valuable to anyone interested in the Linux kernel and the work being done to enhance and improve it."
