EDS Israel Chooses CosmoCall Universe All-IP Contact Center Platform; Outsourcer Sees Contact Centers and Hosted Services as Major Growth Opportunity

MELVILLE, N.Y. --(Business Wire)-- Dec. 6, 2004 -- CosmoCom(TM), whose all-IP, universal access contact center system is the platform of choice for more top-tier network service providers worldwide than any other product of its kind, today announced that EDS Israel, a daughter company of EDS, one of the largest providers of business and technology solutions worldwide, has adopted the CosmoCall Universe(TM) platform as its core offering for contact centers in Israel. With CosmoCall Universe, EDS will create a single Contact Center On-Demand(TM) (CCOD) platform that can support all of its outsourced centers, and also enable hosted centers for which customers provide the agents and EDS provides the technology.

"The contact center industry is an important target for EDS Israel, not only because it is large and growing, but also because it is one of the functions that organizations most often decide to outsource," said Shlomo Ouzana, Account Operations Manager for EDS Israel. "We think it is important to be able to offer both full-service outsourcing and the new hosted model, which the CosmoCom platform allows us to do. Although the hosted contact center does not follow the traditional outsourcing model, we believe the hosted offering will help us to penetrate key accounts in which we can offer additional IT services."

Given its existing network resources, sales organization, and service infrastructure, EDS's incremental investment to deploy CCOD was relatively small. Furthermore, by utilizing a single platform for multiple tenants, EDS will be able to take advantage of economies of scale to maximize efficiency and minimize operational costs.

"We are glad that major IT solution providers like EDS Israel are recognizing the importance of Contact Centers and On-Demand services," said Ari Sonesh, CEO of CosmoCom, "and we are pleased and proud to be providing the platform for EDS Israel's contact center services. CosmoCom believes that outsourcers are an ideal channel for CCOD services, and this includes both the call center outsourcing specialists and the broad-based IT outsourcers like EDS."
