DiOP Receives Additional US Air Force Base Surveillance Equipment Orders
SALEM, N.H. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 31, 2004 -- Diversified Optical Products, Inc. (DiOP), a world wide leader in thermal imaging solutions, has announced that the US Air Force has ordered additional infrared surveillance equipment to enhance base security. Under the new orders, up to 65 locations will have enhanced security during darkness, smoke or fog through the use of infrared thermal imaging cameras. The orders attest to Air Force confidence in DiOP's products and also represent an additional commitment to bolstering security at US Air Force facilities through the use of thermal imaging technologies. The use of thermal imaging is a widely recognized method for identification of potential security threats to military, institutional, and public assets.
Commenting on the deployment, Lou Fantozzi, DiOP Senior Executive and Founder, noted that "The continued use of DiOP thermal imaging by US Air Force is a vote of confidence in DiOP's achievements in thermal imaging technology. We are extremely proud that our systems are keeping American bases safe day and night."
