MINNEAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 24, 2004 -- Fargo Electronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:FRGO) has been named to FORTUNE Small Business Magazine's list of America's Fastest-Growing Companies. The list, published in the July/August issue, ranks the 100 fastest-growing small companies in the U.S. Fargo was ranked 61st on the list.
To compile the list, FORTUNE Small Business asked financial research firm, Zacks to screen annual reports for public companies with annual revenues of less than $200 million and a stock price of more than $1. Within that group, companies were ranked based on earnings growth, revenue growth and stock performance over the past three years.
Fargo was one of 10 technology firms named to the list, up from just 2 firms in 2003.
"We're pleased with the recognition of Fargo," says Kathleen Phillips, Fargo's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "With the introduction of products in 2004 such as the new HDP600 card printer/encoder, we hope to continue along the same path. By listening to our customers, creating real solutions to their needs, and providing outstanding service, we feel we've set a course for continued growth."
