Document Systems, Inc. and Ellie Mae Partner to Provide Integrated Connectivity to LoanMagic Users; DSI Development of Interface Enhances Speed and Productivity Savings

CARSON, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 23, 2004 -- Document Systems, Inc. (DSI), a leading loan mortgage technology company and developer of DocMagic loan document production and delivery systems and LoanMagic, a customer contact management system, today announced a strategic partnership with Ellie Mae, Inc.(TM), a leading provider of desktop and Web-enabled productivity solutions for the mortgage industry. The new alliance provides LoanMagic users access to thousands of service providers and lenders through the development of a direct interface to ePASS(TM), Ellie Mae's electronic portal.

LoanMagic provides loan officers with the necessary tools to help them before, during and after the sale of a loan. It enables them to manage leads and client information, compare loans, create loan documents, schedule meetings, store financial information and transfer reports to clients and contacts. By developing a single interface to ePASS, LoanMagic is now providing additional resources for its users to draw from, including credit reporting, insurance title reporting, underwriting and other mortgage related services.

Key features include increased efficiencies and accuracy as the integration enables LoanMagic users to both, send and receive data between LoanMagic and ePASS' origination and settlement services providers. This enables users to eliminate redundant work, close loans faster and reduce loan origination costs.

"Through our integration with ePASS, our customers can streamline the process involved in completing complex loan transactions," said Don Iannitti, president of Document Systems, Inc. "We continue to develop technologically advanced products that ensure an easy, fast and accurate loan process. The affiliation with ePASS reinforces our commitment to giving LoanMagic users a competitive advantage in a demanding and dynamic landscape."

The loan process can be an arduous task for loan officers, from loan origination, appraisal ordering, securing insurance, to closing document preparation. By integrating these two technologies, LoanMagic users have a complete Web-based one-stop shop from lead to close.
