TransAKT and Global Telecom Enter Into Distribution Agreement for 30,000 Units of Voice Over Internet Protocol Products
CALGARY, Alberta, Aug. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TransAKT Corp ("TransAKT") (OTC Bulletin Board: TKTJF; TSX Venture Exchange: TKT) announces today that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Global Telecom Unlimited Inc. ("GTC"). Canadian National Corporation, having its Head Quarter in Calgary, Alberta, technical Support Centre -- Call Centre in Vancouver British Columbia with company operated ("GTC") sales office/store across Canada. The Company's Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) products and its proprietary network armed with the 21st century technology, is now serving the communities in your neighborhood.
Under the terms of the agreement GTC will be given exclusivity for the distribution of the Company's VoIP products in Canada provided that GTC orders a minimum of 7,500 units in every three month period of the two year renewable agreement. TransAKT has agreed to brand the TaiChi line of products under the GTC name in Canada. In addition to the hardware sales TransAKT will receive a monthly fee per client for every unit that is active on the network. As agreed with GTC, the Company can still sell its products directly to larger retail clients in Canada who will then activate phone services on the GTC branded network, which is maintained and supported by TransAKT.
GTC has retail stores across Canada that is strictly focusing on VoIP product sales.
GTC has placed an initial purchase order for product and it is anticipated that another order will be placed next week to meet the heavy demand in its retail outlets. GTC will also be marketing VoIP products in India, Pakistan and some European countries.
