5DT Features eMagin OLED Microdisplays in 5 New VR Training Products; New VR Training Solutions Unveiled at SIGGRAPH 2004

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 10, 2004 -- eMagin Corporation (AMEX: EMA), the leading manufacturer of active matrix OLED-on-silicon displays, and Fifth Dimension Technologies (5DT), the leading developer of virtual reality solutions, today announced that five new products from 5DT are equipped with eMagin's OLED displays.



5DT's new products deliver virtual reality experiences for several key training applications:

-- 5DT Head-Mounted Display 800-40 (HMD) - employing two eMagin SVGA 3D displays with head-tracking capability and a 40 deg field of view (FOV) for simulation and visualization


-- 5DT Virtual Binoculars 800-45 Custom - for use with ship bridge simulators, air traffic control simulators, and observer post training

-- 5DT Virtual Laser Range Finder 800-45 (V-LRF) - for training troops how to use and apply laser range finders in combat

-- 5DT Virtual Night Vision Goggles 800-45 (V-NVG) - for training pilots in the use of night vision equipment for flying

-- 5DT Virtual Monocular Display 800-45 - for operational environments such as maintenance and field support where hands- free operation is desired or required
