Outsourcing Is Just One of the Critical Issues to Be Addressed at ICCM International

WELLESLEY HILLS, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 5, 2004 -- While the presidential candidates kick around the pros and cons of outsourcing in the political arena, thousands of contact center and customer management professionals are preparing to meet in Chicago next week with outsourcing as just one of numerous important issues on their agenda.

The 16th annual ICCM International Contact Center Management Conference and Expo, the globe's largest event for customer management professionals, opens Monday, August 9 and continues through Thursday at Chicago's Navy Pier.

Outsourcing, which doesn't necessarily require sending jobs out of the country, is a fundamental issue every organization with a significant investment in customer relations management has to confront. At some time or another executives and managers responsible for contact centers and customer management have to consider the options of outsourcing versus in-house execution of a customer relations strategy.

Several of the 60 conference sessions scheduled for ICCM will address outsourcing, with one, "Offshoring vs. Onshoring: Weighing Your Risk," going to the very heart of the controversy beginning to brew on the political front. The ICCM EXPO (August 11-12) features an International Offshore Pavilion where service providers from India, South Africa, Brazil and other countries will be showcasing their expertise.

Sending jobs off shore is just one of the options decision-makers have to take into consideration when faced with increasing pressure to improve performance and cut costs. ICCM International is the largest of several Advanstar Communications sponsored conferences held each year for the contact center management industry attracting executives and companies from all over the world.

Qualified media and analysts are invited to attend and may pre-register at www.iccm.com.
