RADCOM's VOIP PERFORMER VERIFIES ONE MILLION BUSY HOUR CALL ATTEMPTS ON A SINGLE CHASSIS BY NETRAKE

VoIP milestone achieved by Netrake in 'Real World' VOIP Benchmark Testing

Tel Aviv, Israel - April 28, 2004 - RADCOM Ltd. (NASDAQ: RDCM), a leading network test and quality management solutions provider, today announced that Netrake, the leading provider of session controllers for secure interconnection of VoIP networks, has used its VoIP Performer system to successfully demonstrate one million busy hour call attempts (BHCA) on a single chassis. Netrake used RADCOM's VoIP Performer(tm) as part of a 'real world' VoIP interconnect benchmark of its nCite DE session controller.

The RADCOM VoIP Performer is a next-generation network testing solution that generates realistic network environment stress levels and tests the quality and grade of service delivered by the device under test. It's award-winning SIPSim call generator with the MegaSIP module is a carrier-grade, VoIP Performer solution that generates hundreds of thousands of simultaneous SIP-based calls, millions of SIP-based calls per busy hour and thousands of media-based calls using Real Time Protocol (RTP). These powerful capabilities enabled Netrake to verify the performance and scalability of its nCite DE session controller.

"RADCOM is happy to have helped Netrake measure this benchmark for VoIP networks," said Larry Scheck, VP of Sales, RADCOM, Inc. "We have worked closely with Netrake to develop and support a robust session controller test methodology. Netrake is the first session controller to attain this VoIP milestone using RADCOM's VoIP Performer."

"Netrake's testing focused on performance and stability under high stress conditions, a benchmark for large-scale carrier VoIP networks," said Shashi Kanth, director of system testing at Netrake. "Netrake successfully demonstrated capacity of 42,000 concurrent G.729 calls at 300 calls per second, the equivalent of 1,000,000 BHCA. As part of the performance tests, Netrake further stressed the nCite by changing network policies once every minute and initiating failover tests every 30 minutes over a soak period of 48 hours."

"We wanted to provide our customers with results similar to conditions in a typical operations network, not just on paper," continued Mr. Kanth. "Carriers are constantly adding/modifying VoIP routing policies and changing parameters such as Session Admission Control or inspecting session detail records for call success or failure and QOS information like packet loss, jitter etc. These policy changes must be dynamic and non-disruptive to network operations to eliminate the practice of planned downtime. nCite took all changes in stride."
