Uniden Delivers Affordable VoIP Solution With New IP Phone

Uniden America Corporation, manufacturer and marketer of wireless consumer electronic products, announced the introduction of its latest Voice over IP (VoIP) phone. The UIP200 offers a high-quality IP solution at an affordable price (MSRP $149), making VoIP more accessible for businesses.



“Cost has been a major hindrance to the widespread adoption of Voice over IP technology, ”said Al Silverberg, President of Uniden America Corporation. ”The UIP200 phone addresses the need for an affordable IP solution, helping to make VoIP a viable, attractive option for businesses today.”

The Uniden UIP200 is a SIP VoIP phone that is RFC 3261 compliant and can be used with an IP-PBX or as an IP Centrex solution.


Available in April through Uniden’s distribution partners, the UIP200 includes the following features:

· Integrated 2 port 10/100 Ethernet switch

· Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Caller ID, Hold, Speed Dial, Distinctive Ring Tones and 3-Way Conferencing

· High-quality speakerphone with echo cancellation

· Multiple display languages including English, Spanish and French

· Multiple power options (power over Ethernet 802.3af or AC adapter)

· Graphical User Interface (GUI) Tool offering easy configuration & remote Firmware upgrade capability
