Dendrite Forms Services Partnership with SAP America

MORRISTOWN, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- April 13, 2004 -- Further Reflects Dendrite's Commitment to Provide Pharmaceutical Clients With Flexibility in Solution Selection, Deployment, and Service

Dendrite International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRTE) today announced a services partnership with SAP America Inc. that will provide end-to-end support services to U.S. pharmaceutical companies deploying the SAP(R) for Pharmaceuticals solution.

Pharmaceutical companies that select this joint offering will be able to leverage SAP's industry solution, matched with Dendrite's specific pharmaceutical services, providing them with a unique competitive advantage. Committed to helping companies maximize their technology investments, Dendrite will add the SAP for Pharmaceuticals solution to its growing portfolio of supported applications.

As part of the agreement, Dendrite will become an SAP Services Partner and provide deployment and training services, help desk and data center services, as well as hardware and asset management support to companies using the SAP portfolio of industry-specific business solutions. Dendrite will also offer direct-to-physician interactive marketing services--including sample management and fulfillment services--to SAP customers.

Dendrite will continue to develop, sell, and service its own leading sales effectiveness solutions. These solutions include the company's flagship WebForce(TM) suite, which will see a major new release in the fall.

With this new agreement, Dendrite reinforces its position as the preeminent supplier of pharmaceutical support services, and showcases its commitment to provide customers with expertise and flexibility regardless of whether they choose CRM solutions developed internally, by Dendrite, or by other enterprise software providers, said Dendrite President and Chief Operating Officer Paul Zaffaroni. We believe the partnership with SAP presents a strong combination of software and services for companies seeking additional CRM alternatives.
