[December 04, 2003] innovaphone To Offer SerVonic IXI-UMS And IXI-Call Servers As Complement To innovaphone PBX innovaphone and serVonic co-operate now: With their IP-based PBX's and serVonic's software solutions for Unified Messaging and CTI, innovaphone offers its customers Unified Communication over IP. innovaphone will offer serVonic's solutions IXI-UMS Unified Messaging Server and IXI-Call CTI Server in a version complementary to the innovaphone PBX.With IXI-UMS, the users can send, receive and administer not only their e-mails, but also their faxes, voice mails and optionally their short messages (SMS) within the user interface they are accustomed to, e.g. MS Outlook or Notes Client. They can access their voice mails from on the way and listen to them by mobile phone. The unified messaging server is integrated into SMTP-based messaging systems like MS Exchange or IBM Lotus Domino via a Connector. IXI-Call enables computer-aided call management: The users can control features like alternation, call forwarding, consultation call or redial with the PC and begin calls out of any application. The IXI-Call status monitor indicates the call status - idle, ring, busy - of the in-house communication partners. The user can pick up the call of a colleague by mouse-click. With Instant Messaging, the user can send a short text message to a colleague in real-time. The Out of the Office Indication allows the user to inform his colleagues that he is not at his workstation. The innovaphone PBX switches between PSTN and internal network and applications. A PBX-cabling is not necessary, all the data - including voice data - are transmitted in the IP-based network, e.g. the LAN. Via a secure Internet-connection like VPN via DSL, branch offices or home offices can be connected with the head office. The components for Unified Communication over IP - innovaphone PBX, IXI-UMS and IXI-Call - communicate via standards: PBX and UM-solution communicate via the H.323 Standard, PBX and CTI-Server via TAPI - Telephony Application Programming Interface. On the other hand, serVonic's products correspond with our product philosophy. The scalability of the products allows to find the suitable solution for any size of company.
