NHC Communications Announces New Orders for its ControlPoint Solutions

MONTREAL, Dec. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NHC Communications Inc. (NHCMF), the leading provider of automated mainframe solutions for the copper- based telecommunications and Internet access markets, announced today new orders of $575,000 from its current principal Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) customer. These important sales add to the $850,000 in unannounced orders received from NHC's two US ILEC customers since September 2003 and are in addition to shipments of $4.03 million recorded during the first quarter of fiscal 2004.

"Our customers are faced with increasing pressure to deliver more services with less resources in the field. There is no doubt that our customers will continue to deploy our automated mainframe solutions as part of their answer to managing their copper network efficiently," commented NHC President and CEO Sylvain Abitbol.

NHC's solutions are designed to support voice as well as current and next generation DSL services while integrating the all-important "flow-through" processes in our customers' Operating Support Systems.

"Our customers are leveraging our robotic technology combined with "flow- through" service provisioning to reduce costs, manage competitive churn and extend the usefulness of their existing copper network with new services," said Tom Super, NHC Chief Technology Officer.

NHC has provided local exchange carriers with automated mainframe infrastructure equipment and engineering and consulting services since 1999.

NHC Communications

NHC Communications Inc. is a leading provider of products and services enabling the management of voice and data communications for telecommunications service providers. We leverage our proprietary products to revolutionize the management of copper wire telecommunications networks. NHC's ControlPoint(TM) solutions utilize a high-performance software driven Element Management System (EMS) controlling an automated, true any-to-any copper cross- connect switch to enable incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) and enterprises to remotely perform the four key tasks that historically have required manual on-site management. These four tasks fundamental to all operations are loop qualification, deployment and provisioning, fallback switching and service migration of Voice and Data services including DSL and T1/E1. Using ControlPoint(TM) ILECs and service providers avoid the risk of human error and dramatically reduce labour and operating costs. NHC maintains offices in Montreal, Quebec; Paris, France; and Manassas, Virginia. "ControlPoint(TM)" is a trademark of NHC Communications Inc. NHC may be contacted through its web site: www.nhc.com
