TV Bulgaria Now Available On GlobeCase WorldTV Direct-to-Home Satellite Platform
GlobeCast announced that TV Bulgaria, the first Bulgarian television station in North America, is now available on the GlobeCast WorldTV Direct-to-Home satellite platform on Telstar 5 in the United States. Watched by millions all over Europe and Bulgaria, this prestigious channel now increases its global presence across the Atlantic by joining the GlobeCast WorldTV Satellite platform.
GlobeCast - a subsidiary of France Telecom - is the world's leading satellite services company, operating a global network of satellite distribution platforms for broadcast and advanced content delivery. GlobeCast WorldTV, the fastest growing community of international television and radio channels on DTH satellite, is the third-largest Direct-to-Home service in America .
Established in 1999, TV Bulgaria is the satellite channel of Bulgarian National Television. The mission of TV Bulgaria is to bring the latest news, current events, top shows and the best of Bulgarian movie and television productions to all Bulgarians living in North America.
GlobeCast is proud to be providing TV Bulgaria with an end-to-end satellite distribution of its channel including encryption, uplink and space capacity. GlobeCast receives TV Bulgaria's feed at its Paris gateway and sends the feed via fiber to its Los Angeles teleport for uplink to GlobeCast WorldTV on Telstar 5.
GlobeCast is also managing TV Bulgaria's DTH Call Center Services in North America, including equipment sales and subscription management. Through GlobeCast WorldTV's 24-hour call center, subscribers can receive billing and technical assistance. In addition, TV Bulgaria can be ordered in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut through the Bulgarian Culture Center in New York City.
