Three Wise Companies Help Santa Face Peak Season Using Voice Technologies and the Web

Elix, a specialist in contact center solutions, announced today that it has pooled its expertise with that of Nü Echo and CONCEPT S2i to build an application for the Holiday Season that showcases voice technologies while providing a unique and memorable Holiday experience.

This application, which runs on Elix’s open-standard IVR (Interactive Voice Response) platform and is accessible at www.talktosantaclaus.com, allows anyone to invite a child or a child at heart to have a personalized interaction with Santa and his automated elf, Pixel. To personalize the chat, parents or other adults use the Web to provide some general information about the “child”.

The magical experience of a personalized interaction with Santa and his elf Pixel is possible thanks to a new solution that uses the Web, speech recognition, text-to-speech, and the VoiceXML standard. This amusing demonstration illustrates the new possibilities in applications and solutions aimed at improving the interaction with customers and contacts.
