ZTE Blade APEX2 Smartphone Adds NXP's HD Voice Solution [Professional Services Close - Up](Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NXP Software B.V. said the new ZTE Blade APEX2 Android smartphone features HD compliant, wideband voice quality thanks to the incorporation of its LifeVibes VoiceExperience solution. According to a company release, the ZTE Blade APEX2 is compatible with 4G LTE networks and features a 4.5 inch 854x480px tactile screen. The APEX2 Android phone is based on the Qualcomm MSM8926 platform, a mid-range quad-core Snapdragon platform running at 1.2 GHz with an Adreno 305 GPU on board. NXP Software noted that a key feature of the ZTE Blade APEX2 is the HD voice call quality. LifeVibes VoiceExperience applied to wideband calls enables crystal clear conversations with higher speech quality and richer, more natural tones. The APEX2 phone is fully GSMA HD Voice compliant. Vivian Zhang is Director of the Software Department II at ZTE. Describing the HD Voice capabilities, Zhang says: "The wideband speech that LifeVibes VoiceExperience delivers is incredibly clear. Our customers will be amazed that mobile conversations can have such a high quality. From a development perspective, NXP Software was an ideal partner. They tuned their software specifically for this new model, and provided a very easy integration with the Qualcomm Hexagon DSP. The LifeVibes VoiceExperience software solution was the best HD Voice option in terms of performance and price for our new handset." The ZTE Blade APEX2 smartphone has been recently launched in Europe. The handset is marketed by Orange as the Hi 4G, and by KPN as the Smart 400. The new model went into mass production in April.
