Zipwhip Successfully Completes Type 2 SOC 2 and SOC 3 Examinations to Further Its Commitment to Security Across Texting-for-Business Platform

Zipwhip, the inventor of Texting for Business™, today announced the successful completion of its Type 2 Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 and SOC 3 examinations. The examinations confirm Zipwhip's information security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 and SOC 3 standards for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

Established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), SOC 2 examinations are recognized as the gold standard for data security. Following its Type 1 SOC 2 examination in 2019, the completion of the Type 2 SOC 2 and SOC 3 examinations confirms Zipwhip has successfully demonstrated the design and operation of controls to protect its information and systems from unauthorizedaccess, unauthorized disclosure of information and danger to systems that could compromise information or systems and affect the entity's ability to meet its security objectives.

"In the midst of a global pandemic and our new contactless mobile world, texting has become a critical communication tool for businesses," said John Lauer, CEO of Zipwhip. "And as the original creator of texting for business, it's our top priority that customers trust us to keep their data and information safe. We strive to be a positive influence on the industry's evolution by setting the standard as one of the only providers to have completed SOC 2 and SOC 3 examinations."

Guided by Zipwhip's commitment to the highest level of service and security excellence, the examinations validate that the company practices strict information security requirements. Zipwhip worked alongside compliance firm Schellman & Company, LLC to complete the rigorous examination and affirm the organization's security practices, policies, procedures and operations meet SOC 2 and SOC 3 standards.
