Zinwave develops and deploys enterprise-grade in-building commercial
cellular and public safety wireless solutions for a wide range of
venues, including corporate campuses, office buildings, universities and
airports in North America and major global markets. According to analyst
firm Mobile Experts, the in-building wireless equipment market worldwide
is slated for a compound annual growth rate of 41 percent through 2021
with enterprise deployments accounting for $3 billion. With its unique
technology approach, Zinwave is ideally suited to benefit from that
In the past year, Zinwave has significantly expanded its leadership
team, and over the net three years it plans to grow its workforce
across several key functional areas. Zinwave is also expanding its
customer focus in North America and chose Dallas as its new headquarters
because it is centrally located and allows easy and efficient access to
managing both North American and global customers' needs.
Dallas also provides access to a large pool of technical,
administrative, and executive talent which Zinwave believes is key to
fulfilling its staffing needs, and it is a center of enterprise
activity, and home to more than 20 Fortune 500 companies. In addition,
Dallas hosts many of the nation's top commercial real estate firms,
including CBRE, JLL, and Cushman & Wakefield. These companies recognize
the need for in-building wireless service as a necessary "fourth
utility" in their buildings.
"The North American market is forecast to represent more than 60% of the
total global in-building market, and we see tremendous opportunities for
growth here. Dallas' central location makes it easier to serve our
customers," said Scott Willis, president and CEO at Zinwave. "We expect
to continue expanding our team as we accelerate market traction."
In its latest executive hiring move, Zinwave named Mike Russell as CFO.
A 24-year veteran of public and private companies who has also worked as
an auditor for a Big 4 accounting firm, Russell will be based in the
Dallas headquarters and will manage the Finance, Human Resources, and IT
departments at Zinwave, as well as overseeing international accounting
functions. Prior to joining Zinwave, Mike was CFO of Future Telecom, and
he was previously CFO at Continental Wireless. His strong background
includes international accounting work as well as experience in mergers
and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and cash flow management,
and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
"Zinwave is a rapidly-growing company with international operations and
a strongly-differentiated product set," said Russell. "I'm looking
forward to working with Scott Willis and the Zinwave Team as we expand
our corporate footprint."
Zinwave's UNItivity platform is the only truly future-proof, universal
wireless access solution on the market. UNItivity's unique wideband
architecture breaks the cycle of endless DAS upgrades because it
supports any frequency from 150 MHz to 2700 MHz, accommodating current
and future wireless services without hardware upgrades. In addition,
UNItivity's streamlined, all-fiber architecture makes it more reliable
and much easier to install than traditional DAS solutions. Zinwave has a
global customer base. For more information about Zinwave, please visit www.zinwave.com.
