The ZF-Logic module is a set of built-in embedded control functions that use dedicated IO to simplify control of external devices. The internal Boot-Up-ROM is a built-in prototype debug tool residing in ROM memory. On power-up, it performs basic initialization and tests the internal Static RAM that is used as an 8K scratch pad area. It assures system access even if all other software has been corrupted. After initialization, all of the following components are active: North Bridge, South Bridge, ISA Bus, Internal Static RAM, IRQ controller, Timer (8259), and COM1.
