Wyse to Showcase Revolutionary Mobile Cloud Software Breakthroughs at Mobile World Congress 2012
SAN JOSE, CA and BARCELONA, SPAIN, Feb 23, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, will
be present at Mobile World Congress 2012 (MWC2012) and demonstrate
ground breaking new mobile cloud software in association with two of
its technology partners, Google and Motorola. Mobile World Congress
will be the European debut of the latest additions to the
market-leading Wyse PocketCloud family for building your own
shareable or private Personal Cloud, as well as an opportunity to
preview how Wyse PocketCloud takes advantage of next generation
connected devices powered by the new Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich.
Wyse is using MWC2012 and its surrounding events including
Showstoppers and Pepcom as a global stage for demonstrating to
service providers, enterprises and end users the latest phase in its
evolution of the hugely popular and powerful Wyse PocketCloud family
of enterprise apps. With Wyse PocketCloud Remote Desktop already a
top selling business app for both Apple iOS and Android devices, Wyse
is adding to the portfolio two ground breaking new offerings --
PocketCloud Web (beta) and PocketCloud Explore for iOS -- allowing
users to make their own personal cloud across devices and the Web to
search, view, organize, and share documents, music, videos and images
for the first time.
The expanded Wyse PocketCloud family offers service providers new
ways to develop services and grow customer revenue. At MWC2012, Wyse
will show how its mobility solutions can be used by service providers
to differentiate their device offerings with Wyse PocketCloud
preloaded on smartphones or tablets to provide access to cloud-based
services like desktop as a service (DaaS), in addition to offering
customers value-added make-my-own personal cloud features.
Visitors to MWC2012 will be able to experience the expanded Wyse
PocketCloud family at two locations:
-- On the Motorola booth (Hall 8 stand 8A51), Wyse will be demonstrating
both Wyse PocketCloud Remote Desktop for accessing and running a
remote personal desktop from an Android smartphone or tablet; and Wyse
PocketCloud Explore to search, view, organize, and share files on all
of an end user's computers and Wyse PocketCloud Web cloud storage from
an Android device
-- On the Google booth (Hall 8 stand TBC) Wyse will be previewing new
versions of Wyse PocketCloud that are optimized for Android Ice Cream
Sandwich tablet devices and demonstrate NFC file transfer and
multimedia streaming
Additionally, Wyse will be demonstrating Wyse PocketCloud at the
technology showcases for the visiting media -- Showstoppers on 26th
February and Pepcom on 27th February -- and at an exclusive evening
event held by Wyse at the Picasso Museum on 28th February. To
