WorkForce Software Posts Strong Third Quarter Performance; Continues Trend of Double-Digit Growth
(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LIVONIA, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 11/07/12 --
WorkForce Software, the leading provider of workforce management solutions for organizations with complex labor policies and stringent compliance demands, today announced details of the robust growth the company has sustained in the third quarter of 2012. Building upon strong momentum gained in the first half of the year, the company has continued to set sales records, experienced several key client wins and saw high demand for its SaaS-based workforce management solutions.
During the first three quarters of the year, WorkForce Software experienced an increase of 44 percent in year-on-year bookings compared to the same period in 2011. In addition, the company saw a 97 percent increase in year-on-year bookings of its SaaS products over the first three quarters of last year. WorkForce Software's sustained strong growth throughout Q3 is due to its addition of numerous large-scale clients, including:
One of India's largest online fashion retailers A multinational paper and pulp manufacturer A leading self-storage company with nearly 1,000 facilities nationwide The Office of Education for a major municipality in California Buffalo Public Schools, one of the premier urban school systems in New York State One of North America's largest trucking and logistics companies A diversified global manufacturer A Canadian non-profit organization with more than 10,000 employees nationwide
"Automating workforce management across our school district requires a product that can meet our complex needs, but it also requires the right partner," commented David Pratt, Chief Payroll Auditor at Buffalo Public Schools. "From the outset, the WorkForce Software team has displayed a readiness to partner with us through this initiative, a deep understanding of workforce management needs in a K-12 environment, and a dedication to seeing that the solution is tailored to our specific goals, rather than the other way around."
Key Drivers of Growth
WorkForce Software's EmpCenter® suite continues to be the leading platform for large global organizations that wish to more strategically utilize their personnel and drive bottom-line results. The company reports that 80 percent of Q3 bookings were for its SaaS-delivered workforce management solutions. As a sign of the scalability of its platform, two-thirds of these clients have more than 5,000 employees.
The company also experienced significant demand for its comprehensive absence and leave management solution, Absence Compliance Tracker (ACT). This feature of EmpCenter completely automates the absence management process -- from the initial request to the employee's return from leave -- and ensures compliance with all FMLA and state and local absence regulations. ACT was a key component for sales in the third quarter, accounting for 50 percent of new clients. In addition, a major banking operation with 13,000 employees, and a longtime client of WorkForce Software, expanded its EmpCenter investment by adding the ACT and Compliance Portal solutions.
Absence and leave has increasingly become a primary driver for the adoption of WorkForce Software's solutions throughout Q3. During this period, a company with 16,000 employees and a longtime user of a competing time and attendance system selected ACT as its enterprise-wide absence and leave platform. This marks the third time an organization employing more than 15,000 individuals took the best-of-breed approach with ACT and interfaced it with their incumbent system.
Moving Beyond Clocks
Another key factor in WorkForce Software's strong Q3 performance is the growing adoption of EmpCenter Engage, its industrial-grade, Android tablet-based data capture solution. Bookings of EmpCenter Engage have eclipsed 2011 terminal sales in less than six months, highlighting market demand for more interactive, flexible and modern means of capturing time and activity data.
EmpCenter engage blends consumer-grade usability and openness with best-in-class system security and durability as well as an extensive set of self-service features. It also includes an integrated camera which captures snapshots of each employee at punch-in to prevent costly buddy punching. Engage devices have already been selected and used at major organizations in the healthcare and oil and gas industries.
"The third quarter has been exceptionally strong, due to the increasing recognition and adoption of our solutions by organizations that wish to gain more control over the workforce management processes," said Kevin Choksi, CEO and co-founder of WorkForce Software. "We have been able to maintain the strong sales momentum developed in the beginning of the year and are well positioned to continue our robust performance through the end of 2012. As we look toward 2013, we plan to further enhance our offerings and provide our client community with innovative workforce management solutions they can enhance their operations and propel their businesses forward."
