VRC Adds Chris Mellen and Six Other Delphi Valuation Advisors, Inc. Professionals to its Boston Office


Valuation Research Corporation (VRC) announced today that Chris Mellen and his team from Delphi (News - Alert) Valuation Advisors, Inc. (DVA) have joined VRC in its Boston office. The addition significantly expands VRC's team and services in New England and throughout the Northeast.

Mellen holds the industry designations of ASA, MCBA, CVA, ICVS, ABAR and CM&AA and will become managing director and senior vice president of VRC. He brings over 25 years of experience across a wide range of industries providing valuation services in support of tax planning and compliance, strategic planning, financing, mergers and acquisitions, fairness opinions, post-acquisition purchase price allocation, financial reporting (ASC (News - Alert) 350/718/805/820), estate planning, exit planning, buy-sell agreements, marital dissolution, shareholder disputes, and appraisal review.

He is co-author of ASA's BV301 seminar on Intangible Asset Valuation. He also co-authored the second editon of the book Valuation for M&A: Building Value in Private Companies, published by Wiley in 2010 and translated into Mandarin Chinese in 2014. Mellen was named co-recipient of the 2010 AM&AA Middle Market Thought Leader of the Year award, honoring those who have made significant contributions to the middle market M&A advisory profession. Mellen has also given over 100 business valuation presentations both nationally and internationally, most recently having spoken at a valuation symposium sponsored by the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, China.
