Voip-Pal.Com Asserts That its Patented Enhanced 911 Technology Would Solve the Routing and Location Problems Associated with the Current Outdated 911 System

Voip-Pal.Com Inc. ("Voip-Pal", Company) (OTC Pink: VPLM) is issuing the following statement regarding the state of current outdated 911 technology in use across North America. Recently several major media outlets have reported on news stories involving the tragic loss of life which has highlighted serious and life threatening problems associated with the outdated 911 system currently in use across North America. The current system was put into place decades ago before the advent of modern mobile devices. Currently 70% of all emergency calls to 9-1-1 are made via mobile or VoIP telephones and that number continues to rise as the number of landlines steadily decreases. The major challenge for emergency response personnel is the ability to accurately trace the call from a 911 mobile or VoIP caller since wireless telephones are not linked to a fixed location or address.1 Often mobile phone calls to 9-1-1 are misrouted and an accurate position of the caller cannot be established. As we have seen recently this can and many times does lead to the tragic loss of life and property.

Voip-Pal asserts that if implemented, its patented Enhanced 911 technology could solve these problems and prevent the loss of life associated with mobile and VoIP emergency calls. The Enhanced 911 paten works in conjunction with one of the Company's other patents, Routing, Billing and Rating (RBR) to route the 9-1-1 call to the most geographically proximate Emergency Response Center, while also allowing the Emergency Response Center to determine the precise location of the caller by various methods including the phone's GPS. This provides Police, Fire and Rescue units the opportunity to locate the victims more quickly during emergencies even in the event of a dropped call, when a few seconds can make the difference between life and death.

Voip-Pal CEO, Emil Malak stated, "We are saddened by recent tragic events that have transpired and have resulted in loss of life. Our Enhanced 911 technology was developed with these exact scenarios in mind in order to properly solve the 9-1-1- calling challenges that have arisen from the transition from mostly landline to mostly mobile calling. We are striving to implement our technology in order to become a part of this important solution. Our technology cannot save a single life if it is not being utilized."

Mr Malak added, "On behalf of the Board of Directors we want to extend our appreciation to all of our shareholders for their continued support for what we are doing. I want to assure everyone that we have been working very diligently to bring our goals to fruition and complete the monetization of our patents. I believe our Company is stronger and better positioned now than it has ever been to finish the job we began in 2003."
