Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-G) Member Growth in 2013 Tied to Unique Member Benefits

Minneapolis, Minnesota, Apr 03, 2013 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Over the last three years, the VCI-Group has transitioned from the Polycom Users Group, PUG, to include new users and vendors from throughout the video communications industry. VCI-Group Advisory Board Chairman, J D Vaughn, says, "We are experiencing tremendous growth as end users and vendors begin to understand the sweeping benefits of the VCI-Group. We now have over 575 end user (organizations) members and over 5000 individuals in our community sharing information and their experiences about products and services from within our industry. In addition, our user members receive training, certifications, and discounts for products and services; as well as, monthly industry updates and webinars. We make certain that IT and videoconferencing managers do not have to make visual communications and content decisions in a void." A VCI-Group Principal Membership today not only includes ongoing education and information about the most pressing industry issues and trends, it also includes special rates on VCI-Group events and selected industry programs such as Enterprise Connect, and related events and shows.

In addition, a user membership, that is free for the first year, also includes access to discounted products and services. For example, VCI-Group Alliance and Circle of Leadership vendor member Vidtel offers free trials to members for their "any to any" cloud MCU and Gateway services for H.323 and SIP connections to Skype, GoogleTalk and WebRTC.

Polycom and Compass offer 15% discounts for members seeking technical training and certifications, and hardware suppliers and integrators offer significant discounts to VCI-Group members purchasing audio and video hardware and accessories and integration services. Avcomm Solutions currently partners with VCI-Group to offer these hardware and accessory discounts to members. In addition, Wainhouse offers 10% discounts to VCI-Group members purchasing Wainhouse subscriptions.

VCI-Group also seeks out emerging products and companies so that VCI-Group members can stay ahead of the knowledge curve and keep abreast of industry developments and leading edge products and services.

Toni Alonso, President VCI-Group states "I urge you to go to the VCI-Group website to review the promotions and discounts we have negotiated for our members, they range from equipment purchases to educational opportunities. These offerings will continue to grow and we will make them available to you through email messages, social networks, blogs, and our newsletter." The VCI-Group is a community comprised of End-Users and Vendors focused on videoconferencing, telepresence, Unified Communications and/or collaboration technologies. VCI-Group members make and or influence visual communications end user purchasing decisions. Additionally VCI-Group members make and recommend communications strategies while also supporting the technology and end users.
