Virtual Bridges Announces Record Year, Forecasts Increasing Demand for VDI Gen2 in 2012
AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--
Virtual
Bridges, Inc. today announced results from 2011, representing the
company's strongest year to-date. Revenues grew eight times over the
previous year driven by sizeable wins across industries and geographies,
continuing to prove high demand for the company's VDI Gen2 solutions.
Virtual Bridges VERDE addresses the three most significant VDI
challenges faced by today's CIO's: corporate infrastructure management,
cloud computing and mobile computing. Featuring integrated support for
online, offline and remote branch VDI, VERDE provides a cost-effective,
easy-to-use approach to provisioning, managing, updating and securing
virtual desktop environments, enabling anytime, anywhere access for
users on-the-go.
"We had a tremendous year winning deals against all of the major players
in the space," said Jim Curtin, CEO of Virtual Bridges. "When we
introduced VDI Gen2, we knew the industry needed an alternative to
first-generation, server-based VDI solutions like VMware and Citrix.
Through product innovation and close relationships with our customers
and partners, we're changing the mindset of the industry and driving
increased demand for second generation solutions. We're already off to a
strong start in 2012, and expect to see continued momentum in the months
ahead."
