ViewSonic Releases Mini Pico Projector

Sep 05, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ViewSonic, a provider of visual display products, announced the expansion of its projection lineup with the availability of what it said is its smallest DLP projector to date, the PJD2121.

The company also announced the WPG-350 wireless presentation gateway, a solution for any meeting room. ViewSonic said that both of the products provide a combination of capabilities within small packages, making them perfect for those not wanting to be tied down by their projection technology.

At 2.2 pounds, the PJD2121 is a portable DLP projector built with BrillantColor technology. The PJD2121 delivers 400 lumens and an 800x600 SVGA native resolution, making it among the brightest projectors available in its class. Partnered with a contrast ratio of 1,800:1, this device produces the high brightness and contrast needed for any lighting environment.

Designed for tabletop personal use or for small meeting rooms, this projector's short 1:1 throw ratio makes it for displaying images 60" or greater from as little as four feet away. The PJD2121's convenient 'Off to Go' function allows the road warrior or presenter on-the-go to power down instantly without fear of damaging the lamp. To help protect users mobile investments, the PJD2121 also features a Kensington security lock port.

The PJD2121 pico projector is backed by a three-year limited parts and labor warranty, plus one-year on the lamp, and the first year of Express Exchange service, as well as 24/7 customer support to ensure buyer satisfaction.

The PJD2121 is currently available.

ViewSonic's WPG-350 presentation gateway brings wireless connectivity to any projector, LCD TV or large screen display. The WPG-350 enables users to wirelessly display notebook or desktop PC-based presentations on any display device with a VGA port.

The device supports resolutions up to 1024x768 and full-motion video up to 1080p. For animations and slide transitions and presenter changes without the swapping of cables, the WPG-350 features 802.11b/g/n hi-speed wireless connectivity. Software drivers can be installed directly from the unit in minutes as well so there is no need to install devices prior to meetings, the company noted in a release.
