Verizon's Enterprise Cloud selected by The Hongkong and Shanghai HotelsNov 08, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- Verizon Enterprises announced on Wednesday that its Verizon Terremark enterprise cloud computing solution has been selected by The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited (HSH), a leading hospitality group in Asia, to consolidate and centralise its technology infrastructure and better support its customers. Financial details of the selection were not available. HSH had decided to adopt a hybrid public/private cloud computing infrastructure that enables it to leverage additional capacity on demand during peak booking periods. Verizon said that its professional services team collaborated closely with HSH throughout an intensive migration planning and delivery process to safeguard against business disruptions by ensuring that critical systems such as reservations and back-office applications would be available and fully operational throughout the transition.
