Verizon enhances and expands wireless network in Kent, Ohio


Jul 05, 2012 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- US wireless communication services company Verizon Wireless said on Wednesday that it has expanded its local network in Kent, Ohio, by activating a new cell site.

The new cell site in Portage county reportedly improves coverage in the North to Dominion Drive; South to Meloy Road; West to Pearl Street and East to Cox Avenue.

This new cell site is a part of Verizon's ongoing effort to expand coverage, increase capacity and enhance the quality of its wireless voice and data network in Ohio. The company has reportedly invested over USD65bn since it was formed to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services.



Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) (Nasdaq: VZ) and Vodafone (LSE:VOD) (Nasdaq: VOD).
