Uzbekistan to receive thermographic cameras, personal protective equipment worth $6 mln from U.S. [AKIpress News Agency (Kyrgyz Republic)]


(AKIpress News Agency (Kyrgyz Republic) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Uzbekistan and the United States agreed on the project that supposes delivery of personal protective equipment and thermographic cameras for the committee on protection of the state border under the National Security Service.



The relevant resolution was made by the Cabinet of Ministers on July 11, 2014.

The U.S. will also allocate communication equipment, Pen-Link software (data intercept and surveillance software used by law enforcement and intelligence agencies), vehicles and forensic equipment for the Ministry of Interior. In addition, scanning and screening equipment for the State Customs Committee will be delivered.


The total project cost is $6.055 million.
