US Census Bureau: Census Bureau Tip Sheet; A product of the U.S. Census Bureau's Public Information Office(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) RDATE:29082008 Upcoming Demographic Geographical Mobility: 2007 -- Data tables show the moving patterns of people in the United States, the differences in the extent and types of movements, the characteristics of movers, regional migration patterns and the reasons people move. Data come from the Current Population Survey. (Scheduled for release Sept. 4.) School Enrollment: 2006 -- Are more students attending college? What region of the country has the most high school dropouts? This report on school enrollment levels and trends in the population 3 and older is based on data collected in 2006 from the American Community Survey and the Current Population Survey. (Tentatively scheduled for release in late September.) Profiles of Older Workers: 2004 -- The Census Bureau, in partnership with 31 states, has launched a series of reports on workers 55 and older. The Montana and Oregon reports are expected to be released in late September or early October. Economic 2008 Capital Spending Report: U.S. Capital Spending Patterns, 1999-2006 -- A look at capital expenditure patterns from 1999 to 2006 reveals data about firms with and without employees, expenditures for structures and equipment, and expenditures for major industry sectors. The data comes from the Annual Capital Expenditures Survey. (Tentatively scheduled for release in late September.) Facts for Features Halloween (Oct. 31) -- This spookiest of nights, featuring the young and young-at-heart disguising themselves as ghosts, goblins and other outlandish characters, is the subject of a collection of Census Bureau statistics from demographic and economic subject areas. (Tentatively scheduled for release Sept. 3.) Editor's note: Facts for Features are customarily released about two months before an observance in order to accommodate magazine production timelines.
