Update: DonorDirect migrates to Microsoft Azure

RICHARDSON, Texas, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DonorDirect, a unified donor management service provider, is now offering its clients a completely cloud-based experience through Azure. DonorDirect's servers have migrated to Azure, eliminating the need for internal server maintenance and management.

In the past, ministries had to install DonorDirect software on their premises with the help of a hired database expert. Azure allows organizations to adopt the software suite digitally, without hardware or additional servers. Server space is now provided by DonorDirect and Azure, which saves significant time and financing for users.

DonorDirect's decision to move its servers to Azure comes at a time when businesses across all industries are careening toward entirely cloud-based functioning environments. In addition, ministries will be able to set up their systems faster and with fewer hiccups, as DonorDirect already operates on a Microsoft platform. The migration to Azure will be simple and straightforward for users.

The Texas-based software provider plans to offer on-premises installation or hosting in the cloud for all new clients with Azure right off the bat. Existing clients will have the option to migrate to the cloud platform in the coming months. In fct, three of DonorDirect's existing clients have been working on Azure for several months now.
