University Medical Center of Southern Nevada Selects Medline as its Prime Vendor DistributorMUNDELEIN, Ill. --(Business Wire)-- University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC) in Las Vegas, Nev., recently selected Medline Industries, Inc. as its prime vendor distributor for medical and surgical supplies. The three-year partnership is expected to deliver nearly $2 million in savings to the medical center by driving distribution, product and supply chain efficiencies. The agreement is valued at approximately $52.5 million over the term of the contract. Medline will service UMC from its San Bernardino, Calif. distribution center, located just three hours west of UMC. From there, the company will deliver its Medline branded products, as well as other national brand supplies at significant savings directly to UMC. Medline will also deliver cost savings and efficiencies by providing product standardization and utilization solutions, as well as offering enhanced reporting capabilities to help the facility better monitor and control costs.
