United States : VERMILLION hires new COO [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Austin-based Vermillion Inc., a developer of diagnostic products focused on gynecologic cancers, has announced the appointment of Valerie Palmieri as a new chief operating officer. Palmieri will report directly to CEO James LaFrance. The firm said that she brings to the role over 30 years experience in the diagnostic laboratory industry. Earlier, she was president of Momentum Consulting. In that role, she had been working as a strategic adviser to Vermillion during the last six months. Palmieri will be responsible for overall service offerings. Prior to Momentum, Palmieri served as the CEO and president of two health care startups.
