Underwear Can Make or Break a Look

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DALLAS, TX, November 13 / MARKET WIRE/ --

Some women just seem to look perfectly "put
together" no matter their size or shape, while another woman, in the same
dress, can look frumpy. In a recent episode of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style,
he emphasized how important underwear is to creating the perfect look.
Most women they work with on the show are wearing the wrong underwear, says
Gunn and one of the first things he does is send them for a bra fitting. HerRoom.com, a leading online lingerie

retailer, recently launched a new section on their website that helps women
to pick the right underwear for a specific fashion look.

Take sweater dresses, a "must-have" on almost every designer's fall fashion
list this year. Clingy knit dresses really show off your figure and since
there are very few women with perfect figures, this creates a problem.
HerRoom photographed four models with different body types in the same
sweater dress -- the before image shows the wrong underwear and the after
shots show what they look like with the right underwear. The difference is
quite striking.

The best feature of "What is She Underwearing?" is the ability to roll over
the after picture and see what underwear made this dramatic difference.

Even a slender woman can have challenges in a sweater dress. In the before
image of the tall model, you can clearly see there's some unfortunate
pulling and clinging at waist, hips and bottom. Not to mention, a less than
flattering low-riding cleavage. The solution acknowledges that most
one-piece shapewear isn't long enough for tall women. Three great pieces
are recommended beginning with a light lift Wonderbra to do
justice to a low neckline, Maidenform's control camisole to smooth the
middle, waist, hips and bottom and to complete the new look, Donna Karan's
mid-thigh-length Perfect Slimmer.

In the before image of the petite plus-size model, the clingy fabric
accentuates bulges and bumps. Gathering and pulling at the bust means not
enough support. Waist, hips, bottom and thighs need better definition,
control and shaping. The after image clearly shows that with the right
underwear she looks as though she has lost at least 10 pounds! HerRoom.com
recommends the Le Mystere's contour bra for
seamless support that fits a petite frame. The TC Fine biker pant provides control from
ribcage through thigh for petite silhouettes. When what you're
"underwearing" is right, you can wear those curves proudly!

"What is She Underwearing?" also shows suggestions for average and
plus-size women.
